19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden title for 882 days with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's initial title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from that period of 2023.
Success also signifies he has won 21 titles at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to win a title is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led some to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was over.
But the player has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial professional victory, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
Moutet defended four early chances in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the win with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
